  • CCQED at national Launch Event for Horizon 2020 in Berlin

  • On 28/29 January 2014, the new European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020, was introduced in Berlin. From all European projects coordinated in Germany, 8 “success stories”, among them CCQED, have been invited by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). More information is available here

  • This workshop is co-organized by CCQED Partner UIBK. The workshop plans to bring together experts from both areas of research to stimulate the mutual exchange, define future routes towards combining the assets of both fields and to discuss existing approaches. More information is available here.

  • Main organizer of this Workshop is CCQED partner UPV/EHU. The goal of the Workshop on Quantum Simulations is to gather the leading and interested scientists in theory and experiments on quantum simulations with an open interdisciplinary scope. For more information go to the workshop website.

  • September 9-13, 2013:

Conference on Resonator QED in Munich

    Topics of the conference:

    - Single atom cavity QED
    - Multiatom cavity QED
    - Circuit QED
    - Photonic crystal cavity QED
    - Quantum information processing with CCQED systems
    - Cavity optomechanics
    - Hybrid circuit or cavity QED systems
    - QED without cavity
  • With more than 140 participants from all over the world, the conference was a major and very successful CCQED event. The final programme comprised 6 tutorials, 28 invited talks, 18 contributed talks and 57 posters. The local network partners, Max-Planck-Institute for Quantum Optics and Walther-Meißner-Institute, opened doors for a tour through their laboratories. Moreover, the CCQED industry partners invited conference attendees to visit their facilities or offer to meet their experts. More information…

  • To disseminate research on quantum optics to a broader public, CCQED organized an evening with a public lecture by Nobel laureate in physics, Serge Haroche on 11 September at the Ehrensaal of the Deutsches Museum. Subsequently, a panel discussion on “Research & Innovation” with guests from research, politics and industry examined the link between basic research and innovation. The event attracted more than 150 participants. More information…
